Day 23

Bonjour!

Had a crazy nights sleep.  Damn dreams about nothing making sense are the worst.  Had a light breakfast before Mykle and I headed to the dechetterie (dump / recycling center).  I had to pick up our resident card allowing us access. Then we headed to Brico Marche to pick up some more debris bags and a larger shop vac.

The heat was on today.  Not only warm but the humidity has been high.  I had a game plan that seemed to have changed after getting into my groove.  I got ALL of yesterday's debris picked up and bagged up.  I ended up focusing on Kitchen, Dining Room, Living Room side today.  I got the old toilet removed, ALL moldings /trim, electrical, plumbing, ceiling brackets and moist plaster removed.  I'll be ready to take up the floors tomorrow and then all that's left is taking out the radiators and plumbing for the radiators.  One side will be done and with my 12 days left I will get the other side ready to go.

Overall, I'm happy with the progress.  I'm just freak'n tired and hurt.  Good thing is since leaving, I'm down 2 belt notches. :)

Tonight Mykle made homemade taquitos.  He had to order in the peppers and such from Toulouse. This afternoon he walked down to the fromagerie (cheese shop) for some authentic cheeses. Mykle made homemade tortillas, made a lovely spread of guacamole pepper sauce and black bean refried beans with cheese.  YUMMMM!

It WILL be an early evening for this boy!

Au revoir!
