Day 1
Bonjour!
As you might imagine I slept in with all of the jet lag and all.
Had a lovely casual morning with Doug and Mykle. Doug had a french lesson so I went over to our house to make a game plan for attack and get a materials list for items needed.
We purchased our home in winter so as you can imagine in summer things had grown in and a bit out of control with weeds and over growth. I was quickly able to look past the weeds, overgrown shrubs/bushes and palm tree that turned into a bush.
I walked into the house for the first time since closing on the home. All of the vintage furniture that we had purchased on our last trip was delivered. One of the pieces had some writing on the back with the date of Louis the XIII. So cool!
After that I came back to Doug and Mykle's for lunch. We had these AMAZING meat pies from a former New Zeland Rugby player named "Paul Williams" who lives about an 1.5 hours away and makes trips to deliver his delicious meat pies. Jon and I had tried them on our last visit and fell madly in love with them. Then ran to do some shopping to get some of the materials needed and a few groceries. (Aldi, Brico Marche, Action, Gifi, Darty and LeClerc).
Worked a little on one of my U.S. based clients houses and had a jet lagged nap. Doug made a mouth watering enchilada casserole and Mykle a salad. As usual an absolutely lovely evening.
After dinner we played a few games of Farkle and I was in bed by 9:30.
Au revoir!
