Day 19

Bonjour!

Woke up a bit later than intended this morning as I had a roller coaster of dreams last night.  Had a light breakfast and Mykle and I headed to the local dechetterie (local recycling center/debris yard) to get a resident card so that we are able to take stuff to the dump.  Afterwards headed to Brico Marche to pick up a few debris bags.

Got to the house full of piss-n-vinegar, I bagged up four more bags of debris, finished removing the walls and ceiling of the sunroom and moved somestuff outside before calling it a day.  I had Nick the electrician stop by this afternoon to dis connect all power to the circuit breaker but for two outlets.  I wanted to get all of that removed before I start tearing down the other interior rooms.  Nicks a great guy.  He cam on short notice and is leaving for holiday (vacation) tomorrow and knew that I was only here for a few more weeks.  Nick gets a big thumbs up!

Doug and Mykle headed into Pau this afternoon to pick up meat pies as Paul "The Pie Guy" is relocating back to New Zealand.  Paul is a professional rugby player and had a side business of making meat pies.  Needless, to say Doug and Mykle stocked up. :)

Had a lovely afternoon.  The guys picked up one of my favorite blue cheeses (Bleu D'Auvergne) and I stuffed some jumbo olives and sipped on a dirty martini with my blue cheese stuffed olives. YUMMMMM  Tonight, Mykle is making a cucumber, onion, crushed red pepper and vinegar salad and Doug is making Lemon Garlic Chicken Kabobs with a fresh baguette from the local patisserie.

Tomorrow is a free day and we are headed to Artouste. https://artouste.fr/ete/  I have no idea what to expect but have heard many great things.

Au revoir!
